Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise, an American writer and actress, well-known for her character Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in the late 1960s. In the 1950s, she started her professional career as an actor on stage in Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. After that, she acted on Broadway in a variety of shows up until the year of 1957 in which Li'l abner was huge at the National Theater. Her first music album It's Time for Tina that same year. Louise's debut appearance in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda In God's Little Acre, which was a 1959 drama. It received wide praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for her performance in the New Star of the year category. In that time, she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her instructor. Her next memorable role came through in 1964 when she was signed by CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise did a great job juggling Broadway as well as Hollywood. She was portrayed as a dark, contrasting characters to the glamour-doll image she was seen as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She also appeared for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she also has made her name by being a successful and acclaimed director in numerous well-known TV shows including Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex Ontario, on the 28th August 1965, her family relocated to Toronto when she was three. She spent her childhood there and then her adolescence. After being chosen in 1997 for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has lived in Vancouver ever since.
